Since that time the company has built an excellent reputation in the field of Air Traffic Control and aviation software simulation systems and solutions. Micro Nav has more than 50 blue chip customers in over 25 countries around the world. Micro Nav systems are used to train Air Traffic Controllers at some of the busiest airports in the world. The Company offices are located in Westbourne, just a few minutes walk from Bournemouth town centre.

Sales Manager

To manage the identification, pursuit and capture of sales opportunities for allocated areas of the business.

The successful candidate will have the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Identification of new opportunities
  • Develop capture plan for allocated enquiries
  • Manage pursuit of allocated enquiries
  • Manage Sales Department response to allocated opportunities
  • Close allocated opportunities within the limits of authority provided
  • Maintain close relationships with key customer stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations
  • Provide subject matter expertise for customer interactions and bids
  • Act as customer voice within Micro Nav

Systems Engineer

Acting as the point of liaison between our Customers and the Micro Nav Project Management and Technical departments,  you will ensure customer requirements are captured, understood, and translated into an agreed
set of functional requirements for use by our technical teams.  You will review Solution Analysis documents produced by Engineering, to ensure that they address all of the higher level functional requirements and that the proposed solution meets both customer needs and also any identified internal needs. The role also involves providing system level guidance and technical advice to Engineering, Test, Sales and Customer Support departments.

Good communications skills and a good capability in written English are essential for this role as is the flexibility to travel overseas when required.  Strong experience/knowledge of Systems and Software Engineering are required and knowledge of the ATC environment would be a distinct advantage.

Software Engineer

Developing software in C++ and creating supporting documentation, you will ensure we fully meet customers' bespoke needs and adhere to some very tight deadlines.

From assessing required changes, estimating timescales, analysing, designing and testing new software to overseeing version control, you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.

To join us, you should be degree qualified in Software Engineering or a related discipline and be capable of communicating clearly and effectively at every level. This role requires some overseas travel, therefore flexibility will be required.

Technical Manager

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will join us with a solid background in Software Engineering to ensure that all development activities are conducted in an efficient and controlled manner, whilst helping to maintain our high quality standards. Overseeing the whole development lifecycle, you will take a leading part in our drive for continuous improvements in our processes, methods and capabilities. You will be closely involved in the estimation process and will help form detailed plans and schedules in conjunction with our Project Management
and Technical teams. The role also involves providing technical guidance within the Technical group and also within the Sales and Customer Support departments.

To be successful in this role, a sound knowledge of the whole development lifecycle is essential as are good communications and writing skills.
