Successful acceptance of BEST ATC simulator at major Turkish University
Micro
Nav has received final acceptance by Anadolu University in Eskisehir,
Turkey of its BEST simulator. The 360-degree 3D tower and advanced radar
simulator were installed in a purpose built house at the School of
Aviation where it will support the school’s various projects.
Micro
Nav has worked with its partners Barco, KM-TEK and Imagine to provide
the University with the state of the art 360-degree 3D tower simulator.
It is made up of ten SIM 6 Ultra II projectors, a cylindrical screen,
and computer-controlled image edge blending, ensuring the
multi-projector image appears as one.
The
radar simulator comprises 12 controller workstations, 12 pilot
workstations and a supervisor position. It also includes integrated
voice-recognition.

acceptance of this major project at the University concludes the hard
work and excellent co-operation between all partners involved. We are
delighted to have had the opportunity of working with Anadolu
University, providing them with a state of the art simulation system in
order to compliment and support their research facility” says Mike Male,
