BEST

BEST is an acronym standing for Beginning to End for Simulation and Training and it has proved that it delivers all of that.

BEST covers all types of training approach, area, radar, non-radar, tower and ground operations. BEST covers all levels of training from ab-initio through rating and validation to conversion, refresher and TRUCE training. It can be configured to meet different training applications from classroom, part task and skills to full-scope operations rooms and towers.

Military

There are military variants of the radar and tower simulators that allow users to cover military operations with confidential performance data and special facilities such as PAR.

ATM Modelling

The power and scope of BEST allow it to be used for design, testing and evaluation work as well as training. New designs and procedures are tested and refined before being trained using the same system.

Stimulation

Micro Nav have extensive experience of developing interfaces so that BEST can stimulate real ATC systems. This technique gives the ultimate fidelity of on-console training and experimentation. Both industry standard formats, such as ASTERIX, RDIF and OLDI, and custom versions are used. BEST is used to drive several products for different original equipment manufacturers. The BIM, BEST Interface Module, handles special physical interface requirements.
