Image showing the LRQA, UKAS and TickIT quality awards. Micro Nav Ltd (MNL) operates a Quality Management System which is certified by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) to meet the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2008 and TickIT.

Micro Nav Ltd is fully accredited to BS EN ISO9001:2008 and TickIT Guide Issue 5.5 through our external assessment body Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA).

It is the Quality Policy of Micro Nav Limited to provide the means by which we seek continuous improvement in the Products and Services supplied and the Quality Management System.

We understand clearly that quality means conformance to both external and internal Customer requirements.

We emphasise error prevention and innovative solutions to make sure that we conform to Customer requirements, first time and every time.

We are committed to the long-term pursuit of Customer satisfaction and the improvement in the relationships with our suppliers.

We are committed to providing an environment that encourages the retention of staff whilst improving their efficiency and skills.

Quality Strategy

Micro Nav Limited believes that quality depends on the ability and enthusiasm of the staff and provision of the correct working environment. We shall therefore recruit staff who display these attributes and provide them with the correct tools and conditions to encourage their development.

We shall provide procedures and utilise methods designed to encourage correct engineering discipline to our software products while cultivating the creativity and skills of the individual.

We shall maintain and constantly review our Quality Management System in compliance with BS EN ISO 9001:2008 under independent assessment in order to ensure the highest quality service to our clients.

We shall monitor developments in computing, technology and methods and shall apply those which are beneficial to our product and service development in line with our quality objectives.

All policies and procedures are issued by the Directors and maintained by the Quality Manager in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and the TickIT Scheme.

All employees including new starters are aware of this policy statement and are required to observe quality assurance procedures at all times.

Quality Objectives

MNL has established quality objectives across the Company that are measurable and consistent with the Quality Policy. High-level objectives are formulated during the Management Review process to provide strategic direction for the Company.

Quality objectives for each function are developed to support the Company's high-level objectives. These may then be developed into lower-level, measurable objectives for individual processes and projects.

Project and Quality plans include either project specific or Customer derived product quality requirements. Product quality requirements are consistent with project quality objectives.

Quality Objectives are monitored by top management through monthly reporting, project reviews and management reviews.

Project Management

Micro Nav employs the PRINCE2™ project management methodology across all projects; it is a project management method designed to provide a framework covering the wide variety of disciplines and activities required within a project.

PRINCE2TM (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is a process-based method for effective project management. It is a de facto standard used extensively by the UK Government and is widely recognised and used in the private sector, both in the UK and internationally, not least because the method embodies many years of good practice in project management and provides a flexible and adaptable approach to suit all projects.

All Micro Nav Project Managers are PRINCE2™ Registered Practitioners.
