Greg joined Micro Nav in 2017 as Operations Director, having spent 10 years in the UAE forming part of the management team ensuring the smooth delivery of air traffic operations at Dubai International Airport, and the commissioning of Al Maktoum International Airport. Prior to his time in the Middle East, Greg gained experience working for skyguide, Micro Nav and Serco, in operations and simulation.

In 2019, Greg was appointed Managing Director of Micro Nav.

Outside of work, Greg enjoys long hikes, technical diving when he has the time, and has a passion for rare cars.

Tony joined Micro Nav in 2016. Previously, he was Chief Engineer for Air Traffic Control solutions. He has over 20 years’ experience in managing software teams in the aviation and defence sectors.

Tony now manages all the engineering and development behind BEST, and its delivery to customers. He has been instrumental in harnessing the latest technology to continually improve Micro Nav’s products and services.

Beyond Micro Nav, Tony is his family’s chief taxi driver and dog walker.

Shane studied Business Information Technology at Bournemouth University, and joined Micro Nav for his placement year within the ICT department. Following his graduation, he returned to Micro Nav in 2005 and spent a number of years delivering a large number of BEST installations and supporting customers. In 2014, Shane moved into the role of Product Manager, providing guidance for the direction of the BEST product, and in 2019, Shane was appointed as Head of Sales and Marketing.

Shane became a dad for the first time in 2019, so his time on the golf course and watching the football has been greatly reduced.

Diane holds a Diploma in Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, having conducted her education in Singapore and Australia. Diane, based in Singapore, had been in the aviation industry for 15 years prior to joining Micro Nav in 2019, most recently working on datalink products for ANSPs and airlines at Rockwell Collins.

Diane enjoys travelling and exploring new countries and cultures, as well as keeping fit by jogging in the Singapore heat.

Henry joined at the start of 2020, and supports our sales team throughout Europe. He has a bachelor's degree in International Business and French, and spent a year at Toulouse Business School.

His background is in sales having started in electrical wholesale, before moving to support the sales of a range of civil and military runway applications, airfield technologies, and airframe restraints and barrier solutions.

He speaks French, plays regular football, golf and cricket, and enjoys the odd marathon.

David, known as Dave, joined Micro Nav in 2006 as a Technical Author, providing him with an expert understanding of BEST. Since 2013, Dave has been responsible for overseeing the generation of all data items required for the simulator, including airspaces, groundspaces, 3D models, and additional peripheral data.

Dave is one of the experts on all things BEST 3D (Image Generator) and Fast Airport Builder (FAB), and often delivers customer training on both. Outside of work, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, running cross-country half marathons, playing rugby, and drinking craft ales.

David is an ex-Royal Air Force Air Traffic Control Officer with over 21 years’ experience, including time spent as an Instructional Techniques Trainer in training design, and within development and training analysis.

He joined Micro Nav in 2011, and supports the company with his industry experience, and provides specialist services in writing requirements to cover gaps between operational ATC behaviour and simulation capability. In his spare time, he enjoys training for various Ironman triathlons or marathons, as well as working with a local football club as their sports injury specialist.

Richard is an ex-Air Force and Civilian Air Traffic Controller with over 15 years’ international operational experience across multiple disciplines. He has a further 15 years’ experience as an ATM system specialist, overseeing the introduction and configuration of multiple operational ATM systems.

Richard joined Micro Nav in 2018 and supports the company with his industry experience, working closely with customers to understand their requirements, enabling Micro Nav to deliver a meaningful ATC system simulation capability.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and has a keen interest in photography and reptiles, particularly non-venomous snakes.

Lucy Sheehan

Customer Service Manager

Dave has over 35 years’ air traffic controller experience in area, approach and aerodrome disciplines for the Royal Air Force and the UK’s National Air Traffic Services (NATS), including London Heathrow and Gatwick airports. He joined Micro Nav in 2021 to provide additional ATM expertise, having held roles as Watch Manager, Head of ATC Training, ATC Supervisor, Unit Examiner and OJTI, as well as having worked with airports and ANSPs around the world on critical safety and change programs.
Dave is a family man and Scotland rugby fan, travelling all over the world in search of glory – and is still searching.

Originally from Sweden, Ulrica joined Micro Nav in 2011, bringing with her a background in Project Management as a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner. She runs the team of Customer Support Account Managers, and is passionate about providing great service and support to customers.

She is always looking at ways to improve interaction with customers, to help get the most out of their simulators and the services offered. Outside of work, she spends time with her football-mad husband and three boys, as well as enjoying outdoor activities.

Daniel joined Micro Nav in 2021 to support the Customer Services Department, having previously worked as a software developer for simulation systems in another industry.
He has a strong passion for aviation and would consider Concorde and Spitfire his favourite aircraft. Outside of work, he enjoys going on long walks in the New Forest or on the beach with his family, and hopes to purchase his first motorbike in the near future.

Lucy was an experienced and qualified BEST Software Tester with Micro Nav, before joining the Customer Services team. Following a year out to go travelling, Lucy rejoined the team, but is now permanently based in Australia, providing support at all levels, including answering usability questions, delivering software releases, and issue investigation, as well as visiting customers in the APAC region to provide local support.

When she is not providing support to our BEST customers, Lucy enjoys running along the beach with her Spaniel, or studying hard for her technical engineering qualification for software programs.

Chris Robertson

Simon Scurr

Instructor

Lisa has a degree in Accounting, but soon realised that this field would not be her career of choice! Working in HR for over 20 years at Lloyds and Fitness First, she has her full CIPD and employment law qualifications.

Lisa joined Micro Nav in 2010, and is responsible for all people-related activities, including recruitment, training, retention, policies and employee relations – ensuring our people are well looked after, happy and have a positive HR experience. She is a mum, animal lover and netball player.

Trained as an Air Traffic Controller, Chris joined Micro Nav in 2012 to provide simulation product training. Taking place at either the Micro Nav offices or a customer site, he combines his love of travel with meeting new people, and passing on his expertise of BEST for novice to advanced users.

When not travelling for work, Chris enjoys playing snooker badly, watching Newcastle United lose football matches, buying gadgets he doesn't need, and playing too many video games.

Simon trained as an Air Traffic Controller and worked at the UK’s National Air Traffic Services (NATS), before joining Micro Nav in 2008. As Sales Engineer, he performed demonstrations and conducted customer training, later taking on the role of Training Manager. Simon enjoys meeting customers and helping them get the most out of their simulators.

A lifelong love of maps, cartography and travel prove useful as he is always ready to journey to customer sites. Away from Micro Nav, Simon would ideally be walking up mountains or going for long bicycle rides, but the draw of family and friends keeps him close to home.

CUSTOMISABLE. SCALABLE. FLEXIBLE.
