Micro Nav held its annual BEST User Group in Sofia, Bulgaria last week, attended by customers from around the world, hosted by their Bulgarian customer, BULATSA (Bulgarian Air Traffic Services Authority)

This annual event is run for customers and end users of the BEST (Beginning to End for Simulation and Training) ATC simulation system and has become an invaluable part of Micro Nav’s ongoing emphasis on building strong business relationships with its customers. Attendees enjoy this valuable event in which they share experiences, challenges and solutions with each other, network with like-minded individuals, as well as being given an insight into the company’s future plans.

This was the 11^th BEST User Group and was attended by a record number of customers and end users. Representatives from civil and military customers from the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Scandinavia, Europe, the Middle and Far East were in attendance, alongside the host, BULATSA.

The agenda included many of the regular updates on Micro Nav, its sales, customer support and product roadmap, as well as featuring sessions on interconnectivity of BEST simulators, training courses and remote tower capabilities. In addition, attendees welcomed insightful guest presentations by Ports of Jersey and Entry Point North.

One of the main focuses during a customer-hosted BEST User Group is access to the BEST simulator at the host establishment. Delegates were treated to a tour of the BULATSA facilities, including the ACC Operations room and demo sessions in the BEST 3D Tower simulator and hands on speech recognition sessions in the BEST Radar simulator.

Next year’s BEST User Group, celebrating Micro Nav’s 30^th anniversary, will fittingly be held in Bournemouth, w/c 18 June 2018.
