The Oman Aircraft Control College (OACC) has awarded Micro Nav a further five years for its software support service, and a technical refresh to the BEST Tower visual display system.

The technical refresh to the visual display system consists of a screen with a continuous cylindrical surface and five high resolution projectors. The projected image is made virtually seamless through the integration of Micro Nav’s award-winning Automatic Display Alignment System (ADAS). The display screen covers an arc of 234° and has a radius of 4.0m and is 2.52m high providing the OACC with a state-of-the-art visual display system to complement the existing BEST simulator suite in use in Muscat.

A spokesperson for OACC said: “Micro Nav has shown its flexibility in its support of the OACC with this contract extension. The delivery of the new visual display system ensures the OACC continue to offer its internal and external customers a fully immersive and high-fidelity training environment.”
