QA Engineer

What Are We Looking For?

We are seeking an experienced and skilled QA Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in performing specialist hardware and software testing of Micro Nav systems, supporting both internal and customer on-site projects. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regarded as a professional that requires minimal supervision.

  • Holds substantial capabilities in his/her domain.

  • Responsible for a defined subject, and leads assigned testing tasks.

  • Test Specification development.

  • ATS (Acceptance Test Script) development.

  • Actively engages others in work processes to expand and broaden professional domain knowledge.

  • Displays conceptual thinking and professional discretion in his/her domain.

  • Applies independent judgment.

  • Contributes to the decision-making process based on professional opinion & recommendations.

  • Leads testing activities efficiently and accurately, creating high quality deliverables.

  • Advise users on the correct operation of Micro Nav software products.

  • Works on customer facing based projects.

  • Works with other Micro Nav departments to achieve project goals.

 

Technical Requirements, Education & Experience

  • Experience of testing complex windows and web-based applications.

  • Experience of testing third party integrations using test harnesses.

  • Experience of best practice software testing techniques including TDD/BDD, UAT, Functional, Non-Functional, Performance, Security, Regression, System, and Integration testing.

  • Knowledge of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) .

  • Working knowledge of test tracking tools such as Jira and Xray.

  • Knowledge and use of version control and version control software.

  • Knowledge and use of the Windows family of operating systems. 

  • Ability to communicate effectively in the spoken and written forms with customers, team members and other department representatives.

  • 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • ISTQB Foundation Level certification

Hiring Process:
