Micro Nav subcontracts for Fusion Q Technology to Support the Implementation of QCAA's Next Generation Tower ATM System
Micro Nav is pleased to announce it will be supporting Fusion Q Technology to integrate the BEST simulator at Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) with the Honeywell NAVITASTM Integrated Controller Working Position (ICWP).
This marks Micro Nav's first project with Fusion Q Technology, a Qatari-owned leader in airport technologies and systems integration. The contract builds upon Micro Nav's existing BEST simulator deployment at QCAA, extending its capabilities to support the next generation of Tower systems being implemented in the State of Qatar.
The integration project will enhance QCAA's simulation platform to align with the ICWP implementation at both Hamad International Airport (HIA) and Doha International Airport (DIA). This development comes as part of a larger project that will be delivered in two phases, initially replacing the existing operational Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System (ASMGCS) at HIA, followed by an upgrade to an ICWP level 5 system for both airports.
Micro Nav's BEST simulation platform has already played a crucial role in Qatar's aviation infrastructure development, supporting the airspace change programme, improving capacity at HIA and DIA airports, and facilitating the introduction of new and updated ATM platforms. Through this partnership with Fusion Q Technology, this project further demonstrates the flexibility of the BEST platform in adapting to the latest air traffic management technologies.
This project reinforces Micro Nav's presence in the Middle East region and highlights our delivery of sophisticated simulation solutions that integrate with next-generation air traffic management systems.
